Limes originally come from Southeast Asia, but they are now grown worldwide, with Mexico being one of the largest producers. Other important cultivation countries include Peru, Spain, and India.
Limes are available all year round, but the best quality is usually found from late spring to early autumn. During these periods, they are often fresher and more flavorful, thanks to the ideal growing conditions in the cultivation areas.
