Radicchio is a unique, slightly bitter leafy vegetable often used in salads and as a garnish. These beautiful, purple-red leaves mainly come from Italy, where they are best cultivated. Radicchio is typically available from fall to early spring, but can also be imported year-round from countries such as Spain and Belgium.
